Single Hues
Magnolia
When I was putting together our Country Roadspaint set, I knew I wanted to create a matte, deep olive green hue. It took a few tweaks to get it just right, but once we did, it was love at first sight.
For Evergreen
Found in our paint set Home Sweet Home, βFor Evergreenβ was the hunter green color of my dreams. So much so that it closely resembles the color of my kitchen cabinets.
Color Mixes
When you are just starting off with watercolor, the last thing you are probably thinking about is how to mix paint colors. But it is a skill that will not only elevate your watercolor paintings, but can save you a ton of money in the long run. Here are two green color mixes that I use on the repeat.
Jungle Gym + Recess Rebel
I cannot tell you how many times I have mixed these two together. Itβs my all time favorite when I mix a green to paint floral leaves. Both of these colors are found in our Dots & Dust Elementary, My Dear Handmade Watercolor Paint Set. Just yet another reason why this set of primary colors should already be in your collection.
Magnolia + Pencils Down
βPencils Downβ is a muted mustard yellow and mixes really well with our paint color, βMagnolia.β If you have ever used the beloved color βGreen Goldβ from MaimeriBlu watercolors, this color mix would be its sibling.
