The Inkspired Inktober challenge from @indie.beginning is continuing to stretch my creativity and deepen my faith. I have loved every minute so far!

So here is how the #inkspiredinktober challenge works:

For every day of this month of October, they give you a word prompt that will help you connect with your faith and inspire your creativity. There are no limits or restrictions on medium or how you interpret the word prompt. And better yet, there is no pressure to get every single one done!

Here is a glimpse of what I have been creating for days 8 to 14.

Day 8: Vessel

“For what we proclaim in not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” -2 Corinthians 4:5-7 ESV

Day 9: Hands

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” -Psalm 90:17 ESV

Day 10: Maker

“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.” -Proverbs 14:31 ESV

Day 11: Wine

“‘Fill the jars with water,’ Jesus told them. So they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, ‘Now draw some out and take it to the headwaiter.’ And they did. When the headwaiter tasted the water (after it had become wine), he did not know where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew. He called the groom and told him, ‘Everyone sets out the fine wine first, then, after people are drunk, the inferior. But you have kept the fine wine until now.’” -John 2:7-10 ESV

Day 12: Storm

“And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him saying, ‘Save us, Lord; we are perishing.’ And he said to them, ‘Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?’ Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, ‘What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?’” -Matthew 8:23-27 ESV

Day 13: Pearl

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.” -Matthew 13:45-46 ESV

Day 14: Root

“‘Blessed is the man who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.’” -Jeremiah 17:7-8 ESV
