It is time to break out the alpha stickers on day 4 of the Dots & Dust No Handlettering Week.
Using alpha (or word) stickers is one of the EASIEST alternatives to creating words in your bible margins. My absolute favorites to use come from the Tim Holtz Collection. The Tim Holtz Chitchats and Label Letters are an excellent place start if you are a beginner to bible journaling. I use these quite often and they are perfect for when you are traveling. I highly recommend picking these two sets up!
But you can purchase alphabet stickers in any color or size. Just swing by the sticker aisle at your local craft store and you’ll see there are many options to choose from. Another place to look for stickers is in the planner aisle as well. I have found sheets of small alpha stickers in this section of my local store as well. And the price was very reasonable!
Here is an example of a past entry that I shared on my Instagram account. Here I added color with acrylic paints and used the Tim Holtz Label Letters and some white glitter alphas by Recollections to compose the quote.
In today’s entry, I used my trusty Tim Holtz Chitchats and the Heidi Swapp Glitter Letter Stickers.
The verse that I chose to focus on is Psalm 37:4.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
For the past two years, I have tried my very best to take in God’s word daily. Whether it is through a devotional or a bible study, I have felt how important it is to be fully immersed in His truth. And the sole reason is because as a Christian, I feel like I fail. A lot more than I can count and a lot more than I like to admit. At times delighting in the Lord, even when you are hurting inside and you feel that God’s grace does not apply to you, is inconceivable. But it is still important to remember. Jesus did not just spend time with the righteous. A lot of his time was spent in the company of sinners. Those who others would laugh at or cast aside without a second thought.
He is worthless. What a lost cause!
She is too far gone to be saved.
We hear and believe these lies when we should not. The good news is that no one is too far from God’s love and is that far removed from His grace. The Lord wants us to delight in him and his laws before all else. Once we ask for forgiveness, believe in Christ as our Savior, and seek him daily, the road to our salvation and eternity with him begins.
My prayer for you, my sweet reader, is that you will allow yourself to be forgiven. Spend time with the Lord, for He is the only one who can see past those sins that you sometimes cannot.
